The London Project promises botanical dining, a gin garden, craft beers and a modern British menu…
Bluewaters Island is set to open to the public later this year, bringing with it legendary Las Vegas hotel Caesars Palace and a huge new attraction – Ain Dubai, the world’s largest wheel.
But What’s On has recently learned of another new project to get excited about opening on Bluewaters Island, The London Project.
The split-level restaurant and bar is set to open later this year, and can be found just under Ain Dubai.
Surprisingly, The London Project is a homegrown concept, and not an export from the British capital, it’s promising “a unique dining destination and social movement”, and advertises that it ‘has been working tirelessly to perfect the art of hospitality alchemy’. Sounds interesting, right?
Inside, the urban jungle space is split into a ground floor restaurant and bar, inspired by ‘the form of a living tree’, and an upstairs gin garden, which is modeled on a wild, overgrown English country garden.
There’s a big focus on artworks, with the venue promising “a number of specially commissioned, genuinely masterful works of art” adorning the walls.
On the menu, you’ll find modern interpretations of British and Mediterranean classics, creatively plated and designed to be shared. First-look renders also hint that the kitchen will be open plan, so we’re hoping for plenty of table theatrics when The London Project opens later this year.
As well as being a social space, the Gin Garden will also house its own gin distillery, producing The London Project gin. On the bar shelves, you’ll also be able to find specially selected craft beers, including a selection from London’s first craft brewery, Meantime.
Sound like your cup of tea (or gin)? The venue is currently recruiting for top talent to join its team, inviting aspiring employees to upload a video of themselves to The London Project website.
